He has been accused of exposing his toddler daughter Royalty to second hand smoke that caused her to develop asthma.
But Chris Brown said his ex Nia Guzman is lying in an angry posting he made on Instagram on Sunday in which he said he revealed he has given up smoking.
Indeed the controversial Poppin’ singer claimed the reason she was making her claims was so she could get higher child support payments.
According to TMZ he said in the post, which was later deleted: ‘I quit cigarettes on New Years. NO ONE smokes around my daughter.’
The 26-year-old added that her claims are ‘obviously a play to get some sort of increased income. I take care of my daughter and I would never ever put her in a position that will harm her.’
The convicted woman beater, who in 2009 was given six months of community service for a brutal assault on former girlfriend Rihanna, did not mention is whether he has given up cannabis, which he has tested positive for in the past.
The pair only came to an agreement to co-parent one year-old Royalty back in October.
But Nia has taken legal action to restrict his visitations, and is also asking her child support be increased from $2,500 to $16,000 a month.
Nia claimed Royalty ‘reeks of smoke’ after a visit with the Zero singer. She also alleged their daughter had developed asthma, claiming Chris had exposed her to ‘an extreme amount of secondhand smoke.’
She also claims she is worried the performer is abusing drugs, suspecting he has relapsed with sizzurp, which is made from prescription cough syrup, hard candy, and sugary soft drinks.
She requests he either be forced to hire a full-time nanny or lose some of his visitation rights with Royalty.
Nia also wants the judge to force Chris to take random drug tests and prohibit him from using drugs, consuming alcohol, or smoking around their little girl.
Back in November Chris took to Twitter to refute a story by TMZ he was addicted to the recreational drug sizzurp.
He tweeted: ‘Tmz is about to run a bogus story tomorrow becuz they aren’t getting any traffic. ‘They called my publicist about some bulls**t ass story. It’s just sad. Now I’m letting y’all know it’s bulls**t!’
He continued: ‘I got a great album coming, having a great time being a father, and also staying out the way! Ima grown man and I live my life on my terms.’ [sic]
