A dentist is accused of putting his penis in an unconscious patient’s mouth during a procedure at his Universal Smiles dental practice.
Bilal Ahmed, 43, from Maryland, U.S., has been charged with first degree sexual abuse of a patient after he allegedly put his penis in the patient’s mouth.
It is alleged the victim visited Ahmed’s practice on May 22, 2014 after chipping his tooth while eating.
According to court records, Ahmed told the man that his tooth would have to be removed and that he had to use Nitrous Oxide, also known as laughing gas, to sedate him.
The patient was told his insurance did not cover the nitrous oxide and that he would have to pay it himself.
The documents claim that a dental assistant was in the room but left the room and closed the door when the victim was given the gas.
The patient said he then woke up to find his mask partially off his face and the dentist allegedly forcing him into oral sex.
Ahmed, who is a father of six, then escorted the patient back to the recovery room and the man left Ahmed’s practice two hours later, the papers said.
After contacting police, the patient called Ahmed six days later in a phone call recorded by authorities.
During the call, the two discussed the alleged incident and the patient told Ahmed ‘You know I’m not crazy’ and Ahmed responded ‘No, not crazy’, the documents said.
The dentist was arrested on January 7 at John F. Kennedy International Airport after returning from Pakistan but was released after posting $50,000 (£34,970) bail
He pleaded not guilty in D.C. Superior Court on Thursday and has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and not practice dentistry.
Ahmed’s next hearing is scheduled for Feb 17.
