Couple call police after being ‘held hostage’ by their cat

A couple in Wisconsin frantically called police and claimed they were being held hostage by their family cat, reports The Independent.

In a 911 call recording on June 17, a distressed woman can be heard telling an operator that her cat was ‘going crazy’ and would not let them leave the house.

She said: ‘This is going to sound like a strange question, but we have a cat and it’s going crazy and it’s attacked my husband, we’re kind of hostages in our own house.’

‘We’re just wondering who we should call to do something, get rid of the cat or help us.’

The couple were eventually rescued and the cat was turned over to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, according to CBS.

No one was reported injured
